I am beginning to realize I will have a hard time “fitting” in at camp this year..
The awkward position of not being part of the older staff group as they are in director positions and also fairly close already or related.. but also not apart of the core staff…as they are younger and already have their defined groups, inside jokes, and closeness…
I guess I just don’t really know where I belong…
YA BABY!!!!! 3.8 GPA. I’ll take that any day!
I’m “average,” maybe even “thin” but not “skinny,”….and I hate that society makes me feel like even that isn’t quite good enough.
Sometimes God takes the plans you think you have for yourself lined up perfectly..and flips them saying…I’ve got different plans in mind for you…
Thats what happened to me with the summer job situation…
And i am now officially returning to FH…And i know God will make the most of this summer!
When running, working out, and eating right is paying off…Abi has Abs.

On my last day of school, i was packing up my car..going up and down the elevator from 5th to first. everyday I have seen the cleaning lady in the hall but never spoken a word to her. That day I decided that hey! maybe i should say something to her! So i tured around and said “Thank you for your work!” thats all I said.. She seemed surprised and thanked me..As I was walking away she called after me and said ” YOu don’t know how much that meant to me..You just made my entire week.”…
That brief conversation has stuck with me the past week. Our words are so powerful..Even simple ones. It also made me think about the power of encouragement.. How something so simple and required little effort of me to turn and say something nice to that woman could have such a strong impact on her day.
I may have made her week..But she has changed my outlook on life, especially in the area of encouragement…
So new life goal.. Find someone. Anyone..to encourage every single day. Even if it is just something as simple as thanking someone or telling someone they are looking good that day or saying hey! you are doing a great job! thank you for being here! …..I’m going to offer encouragement.
